Now accepting applications for The Top TA Scholarships by CengageBrain!

America’s Top TAs

During spring of this year, we at CengageBrain conducted our nationwide search for America’s Top TAs, as part of our continuing commitment to education. College students around the U.S. were given the opportunity to recognize the teaching assistants (TAs) who have vastly impacted their education during their college career. As part of the grand prize, we pledged to grant three $2,500 scholarships in the winning TAs’ names, and our winners earned the responsibility of selecting the scholarship criteria and ultimately choosing the scholarship recipients.

After much anticipation, the time to apply for The Top TA Scholarships by CengageBrain has finally arrived!

Saving for college is never an easy feat! In fact, according to, students who borrowed for college and earned bachelor’s degrees in 2012 graduated with an average $27,253 in student loan debt, up from $26,000 in 2011. And that total is on the up and up each year. CengageBrain has chosen to sponsor these scholarships to help illustrate the importance of a college education as well as the hard-working teaching assistants that facilitate higher learning.

So, now it’s the students’ turn for their chance at getting their hands on one of these three $2,500 scholarships! The Top TA Scholarships by CengageBrain is open to all students pursuing a degree in medical research, science or engineering. CengageBrain is accepting applications now through January 31st, 2014.

I saw there was a requirement as following:
Submit SAT/ACT SCORES. This is required for all applicants. It is your responsibility to submit these if they are not included in your transcript.

Does that mean I am not eligible for the scholarship because I enrolled at my local community college with my GED scores, and I am going to transfer to a 4-year university by next fall.
