I deserve that survival kit because I am a full time student athlete who lives by myself. I am nineteen, moved out at seventeen to pursue further education and I am only able to support myself with a part time job due to a maxed out schedule. This is my last semester to boost my GPA before I apply for a four year college and that survival kit will ease the stresses of everyday life

I need a survival kit! I love this idea. I am one of many full-time students with a job as well. & yes, school and homework are more stressful approaching the end of the semester. I need this survival kit to help me stay on the track to success. I’ve had a couselor ask me if I had a “more realistic” career path which made me doubt myself… So, I’m going to school and working hard to prove that I can make it and to make myself and my family proud. I am also far away from home and taking on many responsibilities. Please consider me for one of the survival kits! It would be such a big help. Thank you for your time.

I deserve to win the survival kit because it would really help me to succeed while taking my finals. This is a very stressful time for all college students, but being a nursing student, working part time, and having five little sisters to buy Christmas presents for adds to my worries. Any amount of study materials or money would aid me tremendously. I am a hard working student. I will use the supplies well if I should be picked to receive the package. This is why I deserve the survival kit and money.

I wish a survival kit could go to everyone for all the hard work they put in! Why does little old me deserve one? I wake up at 5am every day to study for 5 hours, go to class, study 2 more hours, eat, work, sleep, and repeat. Somehow managing to squeeze in an extra class for work, a writing workshop, and volunteering for habitat for humanity once a week. Plus, maintaining a relationship, my rock climbing addiction, and dogs. I need a kit stat!

Thursday I am in Norfolk, Virginia Tcc campus from 6 pm to 8:45 pm and Friday I am at the Portsmouth, Virginia Tcc campus from 6 pm to 8:45 pm. Graduation is December 18th in Norfolk, Virginia at the Ted Constance center. This will be my first degree.

I think I’m suffering from low iron so some of the snacks would be great for me. The index cards would help me study for my accounting and economics finals. I can give my boys the pencils because for some storage reasons, pencils disappear in my house. I can use the highlighters to help myself study and my boys. As for the gift card, I would use it to buy my babies presents for Christmas!!!! Hope you can see the need and hopefully I win, if not I may not SURVIVE!!!

-I don’t “deserve” the survival kit, because there are millions of other students that can really use this. I feel that this extra $100 will help with my fitness needs. If the body is sharp, the mind will follow.
-I will use the gift card for supplementation and equipment to keep my body energized/engaged. Being energized will help me “inspire” others instead of “expire”.
-Some possibilities include purchasing a back stretcher, supplementation and a session to an acupuncture specialist.
-I am a disabled veteran (6-years of proud service), full-time student, full-time employee, full-time Corgi owner and expecting a baby soon. The gift card and survival kit will help with the journey that I am on.

My refrigerator is empty because I don’t even have time to go grocery shopping. Taking 5 courses this semester was kind of dumb, can’t compare freshman courses to those in my senior year. And now that I have a grown up job, the gym and the library sound like heaven right now.

I feel I deserve a survival kit because I am a working mother of three boys going to nursing school full time. There are days when I go to work at 5:30 am than go straight to clinical until 11:30 pm. Between work, school, and my kids my needs come last because I know it may be hard and seem like there isn’t enough time in the day in the end it will be worth, Ill have the extra time and money to spend with my kids to make up for lack of time together now.

    I could use a survival kit because…

Have you ever felt like you were at your breaking point, where nothing seemed like it would get better or right? Well Spring 2013 at Clark Atlanta University, those were the thoughts going through my mind.
To begin with, coming into Clark Atlanta University I had high hopes. I knew I would have to work hard and maintain my grades. As I did, my fall semester of 2013 here at Clark Atlanta University. As spring semester slowly approached the obstacles began. They started with letters from the resident’s life, stating that I would have to leave soon if I did not pay the reaming balance that was due. I then contacted residents life, stating that I am going to try my very best to get it taken care of will you allow me to remain in my dorm. I’m doing everything it takes to stay in school. Residents Life then gave me a chance to get things right. I started applying for every scholarship that I could with my mother and grandmother. I then received 2,000 dollars of scholarship money. I was beyond excited, thinking that was enough to keep me in my dorm and in school. Sadly that wasn’t enough. I received another latter from residents life stating that I would no longer be able to stay on campus because was not enough to cover my dorm let alone with my school tuition. So I then called my mom crying, letting know that I “HAD” to leave this time, that it was mandatory or they would call authority to escort me out.
Finally, I then moved out my dorm, so now I’m living with my mom trying to figure out how I’m going to get back into school. Giving up was not an option in the Bowser family. So I continued applying for more scholarships trying to get more money to cover my balance. I called the school on several occasions as to see if there was ANYTHING I could do to get back in school. Good news, they told me there was enough money to take summer classes. I would be taking nine credit hours. So that brought my up in sprits happy again. Knowing this, there was hope I would be back in school again. So as summer approached I begin packing for the summer semester. Not even a full week of summer school, I was put out once more. Because, there was not enough money for me to be in school. I felt so down and out. I thought that was it, how was I going to get the money to get back in school.
Finally, all the praying I did day and night paid off. Not to mention I’m a student Athlete. My track coach, Coach Page, was there with no hesitation. She was able to work things out and allow me to be back in school for fall 2014 as a returning freshman. I couldn’t do anything but cry and thank Coach Page. She didn’t have to do what she did for me. Because, she believed in me she did it, and I thank her so much for that. I am still in the process of looking for grants and scholarships for my Spring Semester here at Clark Atlanta University. I’m still applying for scholarships, and any amount of donations would be helpful for me at this time of need.
In conclusions, my goal is to be successful. While listening to, Steve Harvey, he said the road to success will be trial and errors along the way. We have to have faith and take that “Jump” we may fall down but we will always get back up. I believe I will be successful at Clark Atlanta University and with all bumpy roads I will survive. As I mentioned earlier, The Bowser’s, which I am surround ourselves with positive people and with that attitude everything I need is in my future. I will never give up, that’s not an option.

I am in desperate need for some saving whether that be with a survival kit or something else. This semester has been this time of my entire life. Just found out I broke my dominant wrist and at the same time I am on the basketball team and all of my work is piling up. I couldn’t imagine anything going worse. I am currently a rook in the Corps of Cadets at Norwich University. In addition to the normal stresses associated with finals, I also attend a military college where I have to manage a multitude of different tasks. I need to be able to balance classes, Corps of Cadets duties such as uniform care and various training exercises, a work study job working 10 hours a week, and a multitude of different club and group meetings, such as Drill Team practice to prepare for a competition in January and our recruiting club, MGK. At my time at Norwich I’ve learned to find joy and appreciation in the little things as the days are long and strenuous, so something as simple as a survival kit could make all the difference.

Although many of us can use all the help we can get, let me tell you why I think I deserve a survival kit. I am a commuter to my university and also an English Literature major. Therefore, I have big dreams to go to grad school to achieve a doctorate. While working hard to achieve my goals, I work at least thirty hours a week at a restaurant as a server and bartender, so that I can pay my bills of having a car and my own apartment (along with those expensive textbooks). Currently, on top of the approaching finals, I am writing three research papers for three different classes consisting of American Literature, Core Texts, and Advanced Topics in British Literature. The survival kit would certainly put a little pep in my step, and I could use the gift card to help buy my necessary groceries. Thank you for the opportunity and thinking of us college students with our crazy lives!

I am a first year student at an absolutely gigantic university. So needless to say, my professors do not know who I am, and my expenses far outweigh my income. I have a part time job to help with my expenses, but that creates a problem when my finals are scheduled at times that I have work. Not only am I not making money to support myself when I have to ask off, but my coworkers have to cover my shifts. I hate being a burden on people. I think I should receive this survival kit because it would be put to good use, and because a small financial relief would be greatly appreciated.

Whenever I’m not in class I’m working as a technician in a chemistry lab, which between rent, utilities, car payment, insurance and groceries leaves me with approximately $0 to $-200 to use for other day-to-day expenses each month. As a nontraditional student, I have unbelievable amounts of stress on a normal day, once you add finals into the mix , it gets a little overwhelming! Finals is a hard time for everyone, especially when you get further into your major. As lucky as I am to be in my first semester of my senior year, the amount of work that goes into finals at this level is tremendous. Add school stresses to the stresses that come with being a single parent of a 7 year old and working full time, and you get a stress over load! Fall semester is always the worst, since we have Christmas coming up. Not only Christmas, but also an 8th birthday! Despite all of the stresses, I know that not studying simply isn’t an option. My education is a gift to myself. My perservence and work habits are habits that I hope that my son picks up and uses once he goes to college. And one a bright note, lest I sound too pitiful, I only have two more sets of finals to get through!!!

At same time I am preparing 2 super day interviews for my dream full time job during the recruiting session. All of this need a lot of efforts and good time management skill. At first, I should thank Cengage, which helped me a lot to did well in my financial accounting II midterm, but I still have more works to do. Hope Cengage can enhance my efficiency of study to maintain my 4.0 major GPA. May use this 100$ to buy coffee? “Money never sleep” lol

I’m just super stressed out, all the time, and as finals approach, things are getting even crazier! I’m a freshman in college but I’m already taking 18 credits, which amounts to about 9 classes, and to complete my large double major, I know I need to continue to take 18-24 credits for the next four years! Money and time are tight. Since I’m majoring in both Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance, my voice is stressed from having to jump around different styles of music, and I have two vocal juries in which I must perform for the vocal faculty to pass on to the next semester. I’ve got tons of auditions and performances which all stress me out. I also have several dance classes which are hard on my body since I’m not use to much physical activity, and music theory is kicking my butt! Between all my classes and clubs and extracurricular activities, I’m getting no sleep. Could really use a survival package!

I think I deserve to win a survival kit because I’m 21, conpletely self-supporting, working full time and going to school full time, a hospital volunteer, and about to start nursing school next year to pursue a career that will allow me to be a pediatric nurse in a children’s hospital. This semester is crucial for not only getting good grades, but retaining this information so I can go into a hospital setting with as much knowledge as possible in order to best help my patients. I work hard and don’t sleep enough, and this survival kit could take some stress away from trying to prepare for finals. The $100 gift card would allow me to both treat myself to a small gift, and buy stuffed animals or books for the kids in the hospital I volunteer at. Even if I don’t win, this is a great idea and I’ll probably use the survival kit suggestions to make some for my friends. Thank you!

I could use a survival kit because I’m taking on the unthinkable. I have had 4 surgeries in the past 3 years one of which was 4 weeks ago… right in the middle of the semester. I work 2 jobs to try to pay medical bills and survive, but as we all know even with insurance medical expenses can break you. I am a determined student and have had to put school off for the last year due to my medical issues. In a week from now I start physical therapy 3 times a week for 12 weeks. Along with therapy comes finals and did I mention I’m taking a semester overload with 16 credits. I’m working extremely hard and I know in the end it will pay off, but sometimes a little help or break would be great. I’m one of 4 children and the first person in my family to attend college. My parents believe college isn’t worth the time or effort (neither of them graduated high school) so in doing all of this I want to prove to them that it’s essential. Even if I am not picked I want to say thank you for helping others. It’s a crazy world out there and to have people still care and pass on the love is incredible.

Hello, I feel I could definitely use the finals survival kit. I am a student trying to get into my school’s nursing program, about to take my HESI exam on December 1st. The HESI exam is basically an entry exam for nursing at my college. On the exam is chemistry, biology, math, and a few different English categories on top of that I am taking 4 courses, which are very difficult. When I am not studying I am working 40+ hours a week to help pay my car bill every month which my car payment and bill together is $320 a month and with the commute every day of about 20-25 minutes I use a lot of gas going to and from school. I would really appreciate this survival kit to help relieve as much stress as possible to help me succeed and hopefully get into my colleges nursing program! Thanks for the consideration!

Hello! My name is Pam, I’m a senior at Montclair State University and my major is Psychology. Once upon time, before I declared myself as a psych major I realized that the greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return…at least that’s what Ewan McGregor told me in my favorite musical Moulin Rouge…anyway the truth in that statement still stands regardless of its source. I discovered that I obtain the most joy out of helping other people. We all have a story and battles we are fighting. I chose psychology as my major not because it will make me big bucks but for the purpose of learning how to be the best support system I can be for others. My goal is to be a counselor for teens, couples and the elderly. I want to be the coach cheering people on during their battles so that they never give up. I however need a pick-me-up as well every now and then…it turns out I’m not invincible. The battles I face get me down too sometimes, a finals survival kit would be much appreciated by myself and my future clients. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. =)

Hi, I deserve the finals survival kit because I spend every free minute studying during the week and I work all weekend. I have no free time and losing my mind. Finals for me are the first and second week of December and I feel like I can never get enough studying done before life comes knocking down my door. I’m finally going to have to pay taxes this year with how much I make and every penny will count because even if I do have to pay taxes I am just scraping by trying to buy groceries and gas every week. It seems no matter how hard I try it is never enough and with this finals survival kit I may just be able to afford necessities and get through this semester with my Pell Grant still in tow. Without it I’ll end up eating ramen and drinking tap water until I can make the money back it’ll take to pay for next semester.

While I admit that I do not “need” this survival kit and that I am content, it would be extremely helpful and a blessing to receive a finals survival kit. I am a pre-med student double majoring in biology and molecular and cellular biology in my junior year and am in the midst of the most stressful semester of my life thus far. I am taking the three toughest courses of my area of study in addition to other classes. Balancing my studying with other areas of my life has been a daunting task so this survival kit would be much appreciated.

I don’t think that I “deserve” a kit. I would certainly love to get one though!! I am a freshman in college and my first finals are coming up (yikes)! I am super nervous but I know that I can get through them 🙂 I try to always stay positive and find good in everything; so I’m not much into complaining. I would love the survival kit because it would just brighten up my whole day! I work very hard for the things that I get but I never expect much in return. I get good grades, even though C’s get degree too; I take notes for Student Disability Services, even though I don’t want the money; and I try to make everyone else around me glow with happiness, because it makes me happy too!! I would share the kit with my close friends so we can get through the rough exams together, and afterwards have an amazing holiday. I would absolutely love to use the $100 for tuition or books; my parents help me out so much financially but they can only do so much! Basically I would love to have a survival kit because I know that it would completely, undoubtedly help me get through finals week and there is nothing that I want more than to make my parents proud of all the hard work I put into my education.

I deserve to win the survival kit because I am a 60 year old great grandmother going back to school at a late date for a bachelor degree. I am not working and could use the money. I lost job of 13 years as my company moved its business outside of the US. which gave me an opportunity to go to school as a displaced worker. I find it very challenging and I hope I can make it through. I do have to spend money on energy shots to help me get through those nights when I have to stay up and write a paper or study for an exam. The survival kit would be most helpful.

I could use a survival kit for many reasons! This is my second semester in school, and I am working towards Honors credit in all of my classes 🙂 I have a 4.0 GPA and am taking 16 credits this semester. I am 52, disabled and determined! I will do this somehow. I have spent the past 5 years housebound an am more than ready to try and return to society. I stress myself way too much when it comes to grades.. I beat myself up when I get less than an A on a paper. For this reason, more than any, I think a survival kit would help me keep what little sanity I have left. I plan to have my AA in 1 yr and a BA in 2.5. Sharing the kits with fellow classmates would be a blast, it would encourage study groups, and make life easier on us all.

I haven’t had a full nights sleep in about five days because of all the stuff I have to do between school work, studying for tests, pledge work, and making time for my family and friends. And I’m sick on top of that. 🙁 So I think this kit would truly help me out! And the $100 would go toward my savings to pay for my study abroad in Belgium with two of my good friends next summer, because my parents won’t be able to pay. It would be an experience of a lifetime that I don’t want to miss. I am the first person in my family to attend college. I try hard to get good grades and be as involved as I can. I’m currently Pledge President of AKPsi and VP of Media of an organization called Enactus. I hope I am one of the few chosen, thanks so much for your consideration! 🙂

Personally, I believe that while I won’t die without it, the survival kit is something that would help me out tons. I’m currently in pre-nursing at my community college and just found out I got accepted into UNCW after 3 long years of hard work at this school. This semester has been especially difficult though because of a lot of family crisis’. Earlier in the semester my dad was hospitalized for a near heart attack caused by stress. This happened while we were living in a hotel for 2 months because our house was flooded. During that time and still now, my 10 year old brother was committed into a psych hospital, released, and then a week and a half after being back at home he attacked my mom and tried to jump of the roof of our house. After which he was put into a series of hospitals, each one giving worse care than the one before. He is finally been put in a decent hospital now. Now obviously all of these occurrences and several others consumed a lot of my parents time, as well as mine because I have several other siblings who needed watching while my parents dealt with meetings on meetings and doctors appointments, etc. Due to that I missed some key lectures. However I have been able to maintain passing grades. But the survival kit would be a greatly welcomed assistance as finals approach.

I am also conducting research for my university that is set to conclude after the semester ends, so not only am I taking a really hard biology class with its impossible final, plus three other final tests and a final paper due all in the same week, I’m in a crunch to get my research ready for publication. I won’t be able to work much after Thanksgiving, so the 100 $ would really help with basic expenses (and Christmas gifts for my family and friends!) The finals care package would also be a nice boost to get me in the studying groove with the short time I have left.

I have a 2 year old dog at home. My life is very stressful. Well all my classes are online, I put job applications in several times a week because I am unemployed at the moment. I have class work for me due every week. When my kids come home, I have to help them with their work. Read with them everyday for 20 minutes I have to do laundry to do. I have to cook and clean everyday. I have to put the kids in the tub or shower everyday. One child of mine has violin practice twice a week. They all have chores to do. I have to get them ready for school in the mornings. Plus I have to try to figure out how to get the kids what they need without a job. They have doctor appointments for the dentist and ADHD that they have to go to every few months. My oldest is a pre-teen and is starting to re bell. Plus I am having problems with my ex about child support and visitations. I have to do school work either during the day or after the kids go to bed at 9 p.m. I have a 4.0 GPA but it is very hard to keep it when your tired and trying to study for tests. I need to learn some stress relieving techniques to up keep me calm. I also live with my step mom, my dad and my half sister who is also a teenager. So me disciplining my kids is hard when other people jump in before you can even say anything. I only have a couple of friends that I can talk to about things. My mom lives 4 hours away and works all the time, so it’s hard to call and talk to her because I can never catch her at home. The kids are always needing things for school and I can buy them because I am stressing out over not having a job!!!!!! I stay stressed out that I have been put on anxiety and depression medicine, but can no longer afford them. I go to bed every night worrying about how I am going to get things done or paid for. I so need a vacation but every time I try to take a couple hours for myself something always happens. I so could use this survival kit!!!!!!! I feel I deserve this survival kit because I am a double majored senior in the Social Work / Park & Recreation Management Program at the University of Mississippi. This semester I am having to manage my time between taking a full load of classes, working full time as a Interactive Video Technician, tutoring my boyfriend through his college degree at University of Phoenix, and being committed to my church activities (choir, bible study, etc). I have had absolutely no rest this semester, but I know it will be all worth it in the end. If I got the kit, I would definitely share it with my fellow peers because it is tough balancing studying with the numerous other activities and roles a person must fulfill. Thanks for the tips and resources you all continue to send!!!!

I think I deserve a survival kit because of my determination. I have always wanted to become a veterinarian and all of these prerequisites are taking their toll on me. I have never been one to be good with science classes and if you have heard anything about the classes needed to be a vet, you would see how many challenging classes there are (especially in the sciencd field). But I am studying like no other and trying my hardest to pass them in order to achieve my dream. With the load of classes I have to take in order to get into the program, I have already had to take out loans (I am in my third year out of 8 or 9), so any amount of money helps! Thank you for your consideration!

I believe that I deserve the finals survival kit because I am a first generation full time student at an enormous public university where the final exams are extremely difficult and taking the intense course load of Calculus, Chemistry, Chemistry lab, Applied Calculus, and English, as I am, does not make it any easier. I am studying my brains out 24/7 and a survival kit would be exactly what I need to keep me sane. Also, $100 to help with the purchasing of Christmas gifts for my amazingly wonderful family, whom have sacrificed everything for me to be here receiving my higher education, would take an enormous amount of stress off my shoulders during this busy season of Christmas and exams. I would be extremely honored and relieved to receive such a generous gift and I believe that it would greatly improve my marginal propensity to succeed on my final exams. Any consideration in my direction would be greatly appreciated.

I definitely can use the survival kit to pamper myself. When I was 15 years old I was diagnosed with bone cancer it was stage 4, after a handful of surgeries and chemo for 2 years I went back to school and finished my high school. I started college but I just wanted to live and enjoy life and I drop all my classes. Two years ago, I decided to finish my degree, with 4 kids it was hard but I was determined and focus to get it done. Last fall I registered to take my last semester in order to graduate and I dropped my classes because I was diagnosed again with cancer. This time it was breast cancer. I took a break to focus on my health and to recover from surgeries. This fall is my last semester I finally went back to school and I am struggling due to medications that I have to take but I am not giving up and I am focus and determine to finish my degree. I want my kids to know that no matter what comes in front of you with determination and perseverance you can overcome anything.Good luck to everyone and keep going it is all worth it! 🙂

So many essays, so many tests, and projects due WEEKLY and it’s not even finals week yet! Don’t remind me, but I know it’s coming. I’m definitely going to need it by then though. I already promised myself to a treat by the end of this semester because of how focused and dedicated I’ve been (the grades are showing it, too!), so this would be a plus because I wouldn’t have to spend any of my own money for it. Hello, My name is Medhat Ahmed and I am currently attending College of DuPage. I have multiple reasons for wanting to win the finals survival kit and $100 gift card, but the number one reason is simple; I am a college student. Finals are coming up real soon and I am currently taking Chemistry, Biology, Math and Economics and I don’t remember the last time I had a good nights sleep. The finals survival kit could really help with studying for all these courses. Also, the $100 gift card would be amazing since I am a broke college student wanting nothing more than to not spend money on textbooks and classes but rather on myself. I would be very grateful if I were to win both, but good luck to everyone that has posted!

I made the choice to get a better education so I could have a better furture, I am so proud of myself it has not always been a cake walk, but I have had great support. I am going to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Adminstration, my desire is to help the elderly and indigent citizens in our country to get the healthcare they deserve. I want everyone to know that today their is so such thing as a traditional student. Should you desire a better furture for yourself or you and your family, you can go to school. I have had to go to school on loans from the federal and state government. Take the chance, nothing should stop you. Now would I love a survival kit, you bet I would, I could spend $100.00 on anything I chose, that would be a great end to a long semister. Remember follow your dream!

Against advice, I took Business Calculus, Statistics, Accounting 2, and a simple speech class this semester. Of course this is in addition to working full time, which I always have while going to college. It has never been easy, although comparatively, other semesters have been far simpler than this one, that’s for sure. I have given up practically all social events and a good bit of sleep in order to get through this semester. Unfortunately, I think I’m gonna end up with 2 Bs and 2 As, which has never happened before in my college history of only 2 Bs ever. I would LOVE to win a survival kit to assuage my grade anxiety, to get me through just a few more weeks of stress, and to teach myself to not overload in the future!

I deserve the $100 and a finals survival kit as I have been without heat for a few weeks and had to take a loan out for over $6,200, for a new furnace and I am really hurting as I don’t want to give up on school; however, I have bills piling up that add additional stressors. I am remaining positive yet overwhelmed as my part time work schedule changed and getting used to it is a challenge; I work overnight until class time at least three times weekly. My therapy shiba inu Sashi Ichira just passed away over heart problems and a close friend of mine of a heroin overdose; however, nothing will stop me from going to school as that helps me escape from reality and prepare to strengthen my career. November 5th, is my deceased father’s birthday — today — he died in 2001. Now, my birthday is coming up next week, November 13th, and I am trying to figure out what kind of loan is needed to pay for next quarter which I am taking a very much needed Chemistry class and PE. Overall, I am trying to set myself to focus on taking the TEASE-V test for the RN program. As you can see, I am smothering in a pile of “stress” and the only way I can find therapy is through my Siamese cat Siaby and that isn’t going to happen too easily (she is a little antisocial with a mix of feline bipolar and to mentioned she is grandiose, the center of the universe.) Help, I am smothering in debt (with the furnace loan, the car loan and student loan — going into further debt beyond my conrol. :)) Thanks — have to be positive. Gwendolyn Hilton.

I am also an RA at a Christian college where I have to check rooms and must be up until at least 12:30-1:30 every night and then be up for class by 8 the next day. I hold an office in my social club and try to be active in other campus activities and in my church. Nevertheless, the reason why I deserve the survival kit is because I am very stressed out do to the lost of my mother a few months ago. After my mother’s death I have become numb inside. I feel like my life has no purpose. Or do we all feel like that? Anyways, I am currently taking five courses during the week and right now I am studying for my midterm tomorrow as I just finished one a few minutes ago. Then one more to go on Saturday because thankfully I DO NOT have class on FRIDAYS. Plus, I have no job and hope to find one when I get through with school. I believe I deserve a survival kit because I always work hard to achieve what I want, but college is taking the best of me. Being an Aerospace Engineer major I knew what I was getting into when I decided to study this, but all the all nighters and long hour coding for CS classes, solving problems, writing papers for my core classes and being in an international student are making it harder overtime to concentrate on what I want to achieve and live my dream. Also, I believe the kit would not only be beneficial for me, but for my friends too. Since by being more relaxed I can help them study and get prepared, which is something I have always love to do. I tend to be a very happy person, who loves being around people and helping out, but the amount of stress is stopping me from being that way sometimes and I don’t like it. All in all, I believe i deserve it in order to be as good as possible and continue working to get to the final line; plus with the expenses of living in an other country, the extra money would be helpful too.

Active Minds strives to remove the stigma surrounding mental health, specifically mental illness. This hits home quite strongly for me as my sister is mentally ill. At the end of last semester I was voted in to be the President for the 2014-2015 school year for my vision and passion for the organization. I was also inducted into Phi Eta Sigma this semester, an honorary society, because of my high academic achievement and contribution to the college during my first year. Last December during finals my father gave us another scare, we thought we had lost him, but he pulled through. He is slowly recovering. He was not supposed to be here for my birth, let alone see me graduate from high school. That was a wonderful day. I hope he stays with us to see me graduate from college.

I deserve a survival kit because I like many non traditional students am a single mother of two children. I donot get child support. I recieve a small sum of foodstamps monthly to help pay the grocery bill from a net pay of less than 950.00 dollars a month (im a government employee) On top of living exspenses that are through the roof even for subsidized housing. im currently trying to finish a bachelors degree in human services so that I can help other hard working americans push through the poverty gap that is growing daily. I need all the help I can get.. A hand up!!!! is always nice.
Good luck to the rest of you hard working students!!! never give up it will pay off

I deserve the finals kit because I am taking 17 credit hours this semester. This is my last semester before transferring to further my education. As of right now, I am running to full time business plus going to school. I could use all of the help and advice I can get.

I deserve a FINALS SURVIVAL KIT because finals can be stressful! I am a full time student plus I work some full time hours as a DSP! I could really use the finals survival kit because it would help me get through the time we all dread in college!

I could use a survival kit for my finals. Mainly because I have been drowning in readings, study guides, and quizzes of Media Law, Business Law, Marketing, and Argumentation. If anyone has taken any class that is related to these you will understand that there is a reading every night at least 40 pages long, for each class. It is also stressful because I work full time, go to class Tuesdays and Thursday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and have to drive to a major metropolitan area that has traffic backed up every day! My days start at 6 a.m. and sometimes don’t end until 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday, now if that isn’t stressful I don’t know what is.

I’m no going to say that I deserve this survival kit but I am going to say it would be greatly appreciated. I have finals in all of my classes this semester and am taking 16 credit hours. My little sister is also in the urgent care unit at children’s hospital so I am constantly worried about her. I also have a job I work on the weekends that is 1 1/2 hours away from here so that’s hard too. On top of all of that I am not doing so well in one of my classes. So if you put that all together plus alot more you’ll see that I am super stressed and this kit and card would help me and my family out greatly.
    Thank you for your consideration
