The movie Me Before You has managed to tick off both film critics and members of the disabled community and for different reasons. Critics think it’s sappy. Its main character is a quadriplegic man who decides to end his life by assisted suicide. People with disabilities find the film offensive because it follows the Hollywood tradition of portraying the most negative aspects of being disabled, and suicide as its only solution.
