Yes, it’s that time of year again when all forms of mass media explode with slanderous ads and vicious attacks — the true American spirit of democracy. And, in the upcoming weeks, it will get worse. In case you haven’t heard — which seems unlikely unless you have had your head stuck in a textbook for summer term finals — Mitt Romney has added Paul Ryan’s name to the Republican ticket for the presidential election of 2012.
